Alva Freese started the dealership in 1946 with a one stall garage selling Ford cars and tractors along with Dearborn equipment and Studebaker cars. Then in 1973 Art Kromminga bought the implement business from his father in-law and started Kromminga Motors. In 1986 with Greg and Rich Kromminga on board they began selling Polaris Industries full line of ATV's and Snowmoblies.
