We are family owned and operated for almost 70 years, and we pride ourselves on providing full-service, passionate, knowledgeable service and music education for families, students and professionals throughout Western New England and beyond.

For nearly 70 years Gerry's Music Shop has been in the business of making dreams come true. Founded by Gerry Lamothe in 1946, the dream of creating a music shop that would cater to music lovers of all levels and interests was realized. In 1957, at the age of 14, life long South Hadley resident Norm Provost began taking clarinet lessons at Gerry's Music Shop.

Gerry's would be nothing without our all-star team of educators, past and present. The Wall of Fame was introduced in 2013 as a way to recognize the incredible teachers we have been privileged to work with over the years, and we wanted to do more than thank them. The Wall of Fame has provided a space for us to highlight their incredible contribution and to pay tribute to many years of dedicated service.

For us, as for any small or local business, the relationships we forge are important, not only with walk-in customers, students, parents, and with the music teachers we serve on a weekly basis, but with the local music community and the whole community at large.

While we service school districts and music teachers throughout Western and central Massachusetts, and Connecticut, we feel our real service is to help provide access to music within our local community.With the always-huge Green River Festival happening last weekend, you may be thinking it's time to hunker down for the heat of August and just start planning your back-to-school shopping.

Gerry's Music has Western New England's most complete and extensive repair shop. Dedicated to developing musicians, Gerry's Music Shop prides itself in its repair shop and the services it offers. Combined, our repair technicians have over 60 years of experience working with musicians of all ages and abilities, from the student to the professional.
