Gatos Trail is a custom built recording studio Located in Joshua tree, ca. We offer full music production services and lodging for bands, songwriters, producers & more. Joshua Tree and the surrounding areas are world renown for their beauty and creative inspiration, at Gatos Trail you can enjoy everything the high desert has to offer in a distraction free, artistically appointed environment.

Built inside a 1,200 square foot barn, Gatos Trail is a spacious recording studio with 13' high ceilings, designated control room, separate live room, 2 iso booths and an outdoor amp closet all with huge windows boasting amazing desert views. The entire studio has been acoustically treated to deliver superior sonic results, with special attention paid to drum sounds and live music applications.

In addition, all of the rooms have been acoustically treated to deliver superior sonic results especially for drums. Our recording goal is to balance analog and digital technologies giving your record the warmth of analog with the editing ease of digital.

If you're interested in staying on-site during your session, Gatos Trail Ranch and Band Camp feature a large 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom ranch and 2 renovated vintage travel trailers just steps away from the studio. These on-site accommodations are ideal for 8 guests but be sure to ask any lodging questions and we will do whatever we can to help accommodate your session.
