About Us
Report
To provide individuals and families with the greatest level of support possible during their road to recovery from Substance Abuse. Contact Counseling was started in the late 1970's by Patricia Asheim as a DUI alcohol/drug assessment agency. After Pat retired in 1999, Bob Chambers took the helm. He has provided assessments at Contact Counseling since 2008.
Assessment
Report
The purpose of an assessment is to help determine if an individual has a substance use disorder. During the assessment, the counselor will discuss personal history, family, and relationship with alcohol and other drugs. The counselor will also work with you to determine an appropriate recommendation.
Intervention
Report
Chemical Dependency (drug addiction or alcoholism) is an illness that can be treated. Intervention is one of the most effective ways to move addicts towards recovery, it does not involve a severe and humiliating confrontation, but is a well organized, loving process. Steve Burger, BA SUDP works with family members to find the appropriate help for the individual.
Sober Living Program
Report
This program is aimed at helping people who are in early recovery to learn to live a life of recovery. Participants learn how to live with others in a communal living space while integrating and learning recovery living skills. This type of living is called a Family Living Program and is helpful for those new to recovery or those who might want to make this part of a relapse prevention.
