My brother and I, along with our wives, looked long and hard for a senior living / memory care unit in NY for our 96 year old mother. We found Inspir before Covid, and hoped that our hopes would not be undone by the Pandemic. Our mother moved in 6 weeks ago. While there were a few inevitable kinks that needed to be worked out, we have been thrilled with the level of attention that she has received, the competence and thoughtfulness of senior leadership, as well as the kindness of staff on her unit. Our mother is thrilled. She has been made to feel most welcome, and all of our concerns about her

When my husband became in need of a memory care facility I could not find a suitable place for him . A friend suggested maplewood facility in Darien which is only 1 hour by train from grand central and 10 min walk from Darien station . My husband stayed there for over a year . It is an excellent place with wonderful staff and environment . However I was looking for a place in Manhattan comparable to Darien to be in direct proximity to mt. Sinai hospital . I had to wait few months before Inspir - a new Maplewoods addition opened up on the 22 March 2021 with some delay due to slow processing of license

Inspir will be one of the most wonderful living residences for those who do not want the traditional assisted living experience. From the moment you enter Inspir, you feel like you are in one of the finest resorts with daily activities ranging from art therapy to bridge, guest speakers and museum tours. The Inspir team spent months choosing the best integrated medical team who will be available in house for those who need all types of treatment ranging from dentistry to psychiatry, internal medicine, physical therapy. and everything in between. Dining will be a fine restaurant like experience
