The development of Sunset Memorial Park, Funeral Home, and Crematory fulfilled a long-held dream of Robert and Toni Byrd. Established in 1994, Sunset Cemetery had its first burial in April of that year. Much has changed since then, but the emphasis on compassionate funeral planning at an affordable cost has not.

She was 66 years old. Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. She traveled all over the United States with her family while her father. He was a man of character and fiercely independent, joining the US Navy at the age of 17 and serving honorably for eight years.

For over two hundred years America has called on its young men and women to serve in the protection of the freedoms which we all hold dear. Some come home. Originally called Decoration Day, Memorial Day was first observed after the American Civil War. Observers would gather around the graves of fallen soldiers to clean and decorate those graves with flowers collected nearby.
