This course is required by the state of Maryland for any new driver. If you posses or meet the requirements to obtain a valid Learner's Permit then this program is for you! The course includes the mandated 30 hours classroom and 6 hours of behind the wheel training all taught by our MVA certified instructors. After successfully completing the Driver's Ed. course, your records will be immediately submitted to the MVA's electronic database. No. Students who do not yet possess a Learner's Permit only need to have one to participate in the 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. There is no need to have a permit for the in class portion of the program. How old should my student be to start the State Driver Education Program, and what is the best way to progress through the training?.
