Once skilled, children can move into stroke work and snorkeling lessons. A recap of each is highlighted here. The swim-float-swim sequence provides children with the safe option of floating, whether for fun or in a rescue situation. Swim-to-Float is for Toddlers who have just begun to walk (11-12 months) to about 17 months of age.
Sometimes this "in-between" age can learn the flip to swim out of the float, but there is a comfort level with staying in the float until prompted to swim again or get a hand. Your one time registration fee is given back to the community through the Joshua Collingsworth Foundation.

About the program
Report
There are many schools of thought regarding swim lessons for infants and children. Some suggest fun water activities only until a child is "ready" or not crying. Your child can learn that being skilled in the water can be fun. Survival skills and fun are integrated in a well rounded aquatic education.
The Instructor
Report
My name is Tina Baron. I am the married mom of three amazing humans. Prior to the birth of our last child I was a Regional Manager and Training Director for a National Retailer. I left my retailing position to be a stay at home mom. Personally, I know that tragedy can occur quickly and silently. My daughter Allie nearly drown in a backyard pool in 1996.
Testimonials
Report
Tina is not only an expert at infant swim instruction, but she truly cares about your child. She worked with my daughter who was not very fond of learning how to swim. Tina was patient, understanding and creative when it came to helping my daughter adapt to the water and learn this life saving skill.
Scholarships
Report
There will never be a "perfect" time to teach a child to swim. If you have been waiting to have your child taught because of a financial burden, please consider applying for the scholarship program. If you (the parent) are active military or a first responder your dedication to our safety will qualify your children for a scholarship.
