Chances are, if you're here you already think GA students are pretty lucky. The campus, sure. The community, of course. But can we talk about those courses? After years of hearing parent-night proclamations of Hey, I wish I could take this class!, US English teacher Kent Motland decided to answer the call.

DEI work is hard work. But it's also joyous. Because really, at its core, DEI work at GA is about supporting each student through the journey of identity formation, giving them language and skills to articulate exactly who they are, and making them feel loved, respected, and seen for exactly who they are.
History & Traditions
Report
Greenwich Academy's tradition of excellence is long and rich. Founded in 1827, we are the oldest girls' day school in Connecticut-the sixth oldest in the nation. Over the course of three sites and as many distinct eras, GA has strived to live up to our motto, Toward the Building of Character. We are and have always been committed to notions of leadership, responsibility, and community, both on campus and in the world.
