For more than 25 years, Living Stone Design + Build has been exceeding expectations through the renovation and new construction process for clients all over the country relocating to Western North Carolina. During the great recession, Living Stone realized that in order to further increase value brought to the client, we were going to have to create a cost-competitive business model that extended beyond just the construction portion of the home.

Not all lots (or views) were created equal. If you want that perfect mountain build, then we need to design the ideal home to fit your lot. There are many factors to consider when designing a home in the mountains such as orientation, view, topography, function, and cost. We partner with top architects who will meet with us (in our office) to design the perfect home for you.

Building can be a challenge for those coming to the mountains in search of the perfect home. Additionally, most don't understand the complexity and the cost of building in the mountains. We believe that the perfect home starts with design, but that shouldn't mean that it has to be complicated.
We have partnered with plan designers to create ideal plan designs that can quickly be modified, to any extent, at a fraction of what an architect would charge.And because we have built these plans before, it provides a more efficient experience.
