Raku firing was loosely inspired by a Japanese technique for creating ceremonial teacups, in which lead-glazed vessels are removed from a kiln while red hot and allowed to cool naturally. The vessels are removed from the kiln while the glazes are molten and placed into a chamber combustible materials for post-firing reduction.
YAY Clay! Dates

Clay Dates are $75 per person (minimum 2 people). The clay date is a 2-hour instructional wheel throwing class. Included in this class are all materials, firing costs, and choice of glaze color which you can choose at the end of your class. This class requires a return contactless pickup to pick up your finished glaze pieces around 3 weeks after your first visit.
