Len Howells is the owner/operator of Silver Bow Outfitters and longtime resident of Montana. Len has over 45 years of trapping, hunting, fishing and guiding experience in this area of Montana. He offers his clients excellent opportunities through his guided hunting trips and he is excellent company.

Silver Bow Outfitters offers top quality Montana guided hunting trips for elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, black bear, big horn sheep, mountain goat and moose. We also offer unguided hunting excursions from our three, fully equipped, private hunting camp sites. Weather and Lady Luck make it impossible to guarantee a kill on a fair-chase hunt, but we do guarantee a quality hunt in an excellent trophy area with very low 'off road' hunting pressure.

There is nothing quite like elk hunting in NW Montana. One could say that it is unique compared to other western elk hunting. One reason is that this is Mountain Timber Country offering excellent elk habitat and elk habitat security. Another reason is that it has excellent elk genetics. One of the outstanding features of this hunting area in Montana is that elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, moose, and bear all utilize this same habitat, making for excellent combination hunting opportunities.
Hunt From Your Own Camp

We offer two fully stocked Montana hunting sites as basecamps for hunters who wish to hunt on their own. These hunting camps in Northwest Montana are fully equipped and furnished with floored tents, hot showers & outhouses. Clients provide food, sleeping bags and pads. Our 'Drive-To' Camp is located approximately 4 miles off US Highway 2 along the east fork of the Fisher River.
