About Us
Report
Founded in 1968 by Jim, Carol and Mark Hanna, Mectron inspection systems is a family owned company that provides the most up to date inspection systems for fasteners, cold formed and deep drawn products. Mectron has been dedicated to research and development since its formation, and has strived to advance the field of inspection.
Inspection and Sorting Services
Report
Mectron's In House services provide a 360° dimensional inspection, using eddy current for metallurgical and crack detection, and lasers for zero defect performance of fasteners, deep draw components, aerospace, ammunition and more. Mectron puts its own technology to use to provide manufacturers with high-speed dimensional and metallurgical production sorting.
Aerospace
Report
The flagship of Mectron's systems, the Qualifier uses a patented laser array for 360 degrees of dimensional inspection to detect defects on a wide range of components. The Q-2500 uses lasers; the Q-5000 uses both lasers and eddy current providing specialized capabilities for complete parts inspection.
Ammunition
Report
The Q-2500 is our dimensional ammunition inspection machine. It uses patented lasers for high speed gauging and inspection to perform 360 degree inspection to detect dimensional defects in rifle or handgun casings, bullets and cartridges. The Q-5000 uses both lasers and eddy current providing specialized capabilities for complete Ammunition Inspection.
Qualifier
Report
Mectron's Qualifier uses 8 lasers to perform a 360 degree automated dimensional inspection. It also uses an eddy current coil to do hardness and metallurgical inspection. The most advanced inspection systems available on the market today, Mectron's line of inspection machines deliver high-speed dimensional and metallurgical inspection for a variety of parts in a wide range of materials.
