Current hours are still a bit shortened: 9 to 6 Monday through Saturday, and Sundays from noon to 5. We are an independent general bookstore serving the local community since 1992. We offer a thoughtfully chosen selection of books for all ages, and a surprising depth of inventory that will keep you interested but never overwhelmed.

In 1968, 21-year old Fred McCarthy transitioned from a seminary student to the life of a U.S. Army helicopter gunship commander in Vietnam. Despite preparation from a family tradition of decorated combat service, a strong sense of patriotism, a love of aviation, and a desire for adventure, he got far more than he bargained for.
