Our Story
Report
City Auto Repair opened its doors to Gainesville in 1981 to provide a one-stop shop for all automotive repairs. Growing up in the shop with her father, who started the business, Rachael became passionate about cars, but more so, about being able to help people.

Today, Rachael carries on her father's legacy with her team at City Auto Repair by providing an experience that is authentic and sincere, where each client is treated like part of the family.Unfortunately, integrity doesn't abound in the auto repair community. Our pledge is to break that mold. We act with unwavering integrity, not just with all services completed, but in all interactions with our clients.
Our Services
Report
Our team members are specially trained in using the latest diagnostic tools and technology in order to get to the root cause of your car's problems. We are able to provide comprehensive repairs that keep you on the road instead of just bandaging the problem to be repaired again later. We understand how important your time is, so we provided accurate time estimates so you're not left in the dark about your repair.
Brake Services
Report
Florida is tough on cars, and with the often rainy weather, why take the risk of your brakes not working when you need them to? Don't delay if you notice any signs that your brakes may be faltering; it's always better to be safe while on the road. Fortunately, there are some key warning signs that you can notice while driving that indicate when your brakes need to be serviced.
Diagnostics
Report
When your car starts creating odd smells, sounds, or feelings, start investigating the issues sooner than later. Allowing these problems to persist will only lead to worsening conditions and more expensive repair costs. The warning lights on your dash can often be confusing with misleading symbols accompanied by a car manual full of extra information and technical jargon.
Steering & Alignment Services
Report
Rough roads can be your wheels' biggest problem. If you're frequently driving down roads that aren't paved or maintained well, then your steering and alignment could be suffering. Hitting curbs or driving over large potholes can cause much more damage than your spilled coffee.

When your car comes off the assembly line from the manufacturer, it is preset with specific wheel alignments and steering settings that will allow the vehicle to drive optimally and have the best longevity for the parts. Our mechanics are equipped with the expertise and technology to evaluate your vehicle and adjust the steering and alignment as precisely as possible to match the manufacturer's original settings.
