While some students at our Academy aspire to become professionals, many are here for the fun, challenge, and reward that come as a result of ballet training. All students of North Ballet Academy, whether with professional or recreational goals, will receive expert and professional training in Classical Ballet, based on an eight level Vaganova syllabus created and personalized for the goals of the training program offered at North Ballet Academy.

I am a dancer, and in the past I believe that I have suffered from shin splints due to the flooring that I was dancing on. What type of flooring is used at North Ballet Academy? North Ballet currently has Sprung Floors in all three studios. These were chosen in order to provide students with the safest dancing surface, providing not only energy absorption, but also friction to avoid slipping.
Classes

Students at North Ballet start their training at various ages and abilities. For some, they started when they were as young as 3 years old, others found ballet during their teen years. Thus our classes often have a mix of student ages! The guidelines for initial placement are listed below, but our principle here is that while placement usually depends on age, advancement is based on ability!
