Mark McClain attended high school in Germany where the legal drinking age was 16. He and his friends frequented a good many biergartens. After becoming an Air Force KC-135 pilot, Mark spent his spare time creating his own biergartens. He perfected his technique over several decades, serving literally thousands of pints to friends and family alike.

Rich and amber-hued, our signature Pale Ale is made exclusively with Columbus hops from the Kansas Hop Company. A classic American style Pale Ale. My favorite beer in High School! I know that sounds "funny, " but I went to school in Germany--where the legal drinking age was (and is) 16. Kolsch is sometimes referred to as a hybrid beer.
