Our Speech Therapists will evaluate and treat communication disorders in children and developmentally delayed adults. We have experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, hearing impairment, cleft palate, apraxia, dysarthria, and various genetic syndromes. Our Occupational Therapists will evaluate and treat fine motor coordinative disorders as well as sensory integrative disorders of children.

Our Physical Therapists will evaluate and treat gross motor coordinative disorders as well as equipment needs of children. We provide comprehensive pediatric care in the fields of speech, occupational, physical, feeding, and play-based therapy. We value the relationships created with our families and strive to offer individualized services with a spirit of inquiry and innovation.

We treat children birth to 18 years of age, depending on the disorder and treatment methods needed. Call us at (910)423-5622 to get the process started. Before we can do an evaluation on your child, we will need a physician's order. The physician's order allows Therapy Playground to bill your insurance.

A verification of benefits will be completed to determine if the requested service is covered by the child's medical insurance. The guardian will be contacted regarding the verification of benefits and the cost of the requested services will be to the family. If the guardian continues to desire the requested service, an intake packet will be mailed to the family for completion.
Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists will evaluate and treat fine motor coordinative disorders as well as sensory integrative disorders of children. We have experience working with a variety of individuals; diagnoses to include autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, traumatic brain injury, developmental delays, and a variety of genetic syndromes.

Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs) interrupt the growth and development of the muscles and bones of the face and mouth. This results in poor function during eating, swallowing, talking and breathing. Children, teenagers and adults are all affected by OMDs. Although there is not a single known cause for the development of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, there are a number of factors that contribute to OMDs.
