David Lindner comes from four generations of professional photographers. His mentor was Philippe Halsman, the legendary Life Magazine cover photographer. With grants in the arts, he specialized in dance, theater, portraiture, and published the magazine Dance Life.
As a photographer, David's subjects have ranged broadly: from the President of the United States (congressmen, governors and mayors, too) to school children; from gangsters to firefighters; from the world's greatest ballet dancers to tango pros to jazz dancers and musicians; from boxers to circus performers; from rock stars and celebrities to performers from virtually all over the world.

David was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was great at communicating (emails, texts and phone calls!) with me from afar and was willing to be flexible with my schedule and location. He is so professional and knowledgeable about posing and light. We are thrilled with all our photos (head-shots, couples, extended family, kids). I would absolutely recommend The Lindner Studio for all of your memory making needs!

I wholeheartedly recommend Lindner Studio. I have had my business for almost 20 years and I have periodically updated website pictures throughout the years. I must say that this studio is not only extremely talented, but also a pleasure to work with in getting the job done. In the past, I have found many photographers to be difficult and rushed in dealing with small offices. That’s not true about the Lindner team, they were pleasant, stayed longer than expected and worked at a fair price, including on some retouching! I would use them again!

When my husband needed professional photos taken, we immediately called David to make an appointment. We were extremely impressed by the corporate photos on his website, his photographs of school children, and his amazing and heartfelt shots of weddings. He was initially recommended to us by a friend who hired David to shoot her wedding. David Linder is a fantastic photographer. I highly recommend him to photograph your event. David has taken gorgeous portraits of our family in Central Park. Most recently, he photographed our daughter's Bat Mitzvah in a very large and tricky space. Not only are there great pictures of everyone, but he managed to capture all of the evening's special moments. He also came prepared. He was highly professional. He checked out the space in advance and brought along his own lighting and an assistant. He made everyone feel comfortable during the photo shoot and took photographs that will last a lifetime

We hired David Lindner as a guest lecturer to discuss photography basics for a documentary class I was teaching. David was remarkable: deeply knowledgeable, entertaining, engaged. After his lesson, the students fully understood photography essentials and had a renewed passion for its aesthetic possibilities.

When I began discussing photography with my then-fiance for our wedding, the one thing that he insisted upon was "no cheesy" or "staged" shots. We wanted timeless photographs that captured the natural emotions of the day, which our eventual children and grandchildren could look back on. David and Carlo delivered exactly what we had been looking for. They shot our wedding at a vineyard in Connecticut. They were great the day of, listening to our requests, scouting out the ideal spots within the vineyard, and for the few family portraits we did want, giving excellent and helpful

We've met with several photographers but there was something special about David Lindner. As we flipped through his albums and admired all of his work we knew that this was exactly the type of photos we wanted, timeless. Other photographers would sell us on how they're using the latest technology, creating digital albums, usb drives filled with thousands of pictures, mugs, t shirts, etc. But we didn't want a bunch of generic pictures with family and friends jumping up in the air or photoshopped. That's what our family, friends and shutterfly were for. We wanted, even expected

We worked with Elvis for our engagement photo session and David Lindner for our wedding photos. They are both very talented photographers and a pleasure to work with. We had gloomy weather on both days with rain / snow, but the lighting in our photos were not affected at all and they looked beautiful. David also captured a lot of fun moments at our wedding reception, which I'm sure will bring back lots of great memories in the future. We had our wedding video recorded by the studio as well. The 5-minute highlight was very artistic and we enjoyed it a lot.
