Deanna is a native of Candler. She graduated from Asheville Buncombe Technical College Dental Assisting Program in 1988. Deanna has more than 32 years of experience in dentistry, both as a dental assistant and office administrator. She joined Asheville Periodontics in 2020. She has always enjoyed taking care of her patients and feels very blessed to be in a field that cares for others.

With 44 years of professional dental experience, Richard Howell, DDS, MS, completed his professional education at the Ohio State University earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1974. He the joined the USAF and was assigned to Wiesbaden, Germany. In 1978, having returned to the US, he earned a Master's Degree in Dentistry from the University of Texas.

Prior to Your Surgery
Report
Always check with your medical doctor before stopping any medications. It is not necessary to discontinue Aspirin or any blood thinning medications prior to surgery. We do ask that you avoid alcohol the night before surgery. We ask that men arrive for surgery clean shaven unless you wear a beard normally, and that women do not wear makeup.
