UPDATE: Unfortunately I need to update this remark, I contacted them for a quick fix for my water heater pilot. Turns out it was as simple as turning a knob. You would think that being a returning customer (see below) and given that it was a 5 minute job... well why not screw your customer all the same. $245 for turning a knob and a few minutes travel... I hired Avid Handyman service for the renovation of two bathrooms. The work was pretty good and results were acceptable, according to what was paid. The team was very professional and hard working, patient enough to hear and apply our requirements

Installed new front door, difficult job because of the lean in our building but they got it nice and level. Came back for finishing touches and stuck with original invoice price. Very responsive to the constant changes from Home Depot delivery timing; we had to reschedule a few times.

I originally contracted AVID Handy men to fix a leak in my roof. I was so pleased with their expediency and professionalism, I then contracted them to do my bathroom renovation. From step a-z everything went so smoothly and I'm so happy with the finished product, that I've now contracted AVID and Hoboken Custom Craft to renovate my mother's kitchen!

BAD EXPERIENCE! I really tried to make it an easy job - sent pictures ahead of time, described the work I was looking for, however none of that seemed to have helped.
Contracted to seal fitment around PTAC Air Con unit which was missing molding at baseboard area. Sent pictures ahead of time to outline the work that they were going to have to do. Agreed service was to (1) install baseboard which had a gap between my unit and the wall (leading to air leakage) and (2) seal the gap in the air con unit sleeve. They came unprepared for the job without a baseboard, and instead installed caulk where

Avid were restoring our antique brownstone entrance doors. It was quite a significant job required to sand the doors to the bare food, repair some panel cracks, repainting with color matching to other wooden panels behind the door. Also the frame around the door needed the same job to be performed. Folks from Avid made an amazing work at a competitive price. They were also great at communicating details and options and giving updates.
