We purchased a manufactured home from American Homes 2005/6. Most everything was absolutely true to sales communications. Stay away from wall to wall carpet, make sure you understand that their default is to trailer construction which means things like; single hung rather than double hung windows- for me? Never even considered that there was an alternative to a double hung window( for those who dont know the difference ? Single hung means the bloody window only opens from the bottom, normal windows are double hung.. this means that the window can be opened from the bottom or the top. This

I wish I could sit down with every person thinking of buying one of these homes to explain to them my experience. It is a train wreck, where it may be cheaper, these people try to cut every corner to save a dollar. We have been in our home for 6 months and my ceiling has wet spots everywhere. The roof was clearly installed horribly. None of my vanitys were the same color in the house. Not a single door in the house shuts properly. My kitchen was completely wrong, from the countertops and the stovetop oven. And all they wanted to do was give me $800. All the company ever has to say is that its

Had an appointment with one of their sales people to meet us at our property where we would be placing our house once we decided on one. The gentleman never showed up. I called the office and spoke to another gentleman who was very rude. I told him I would never do business with your company. Youre not talking about a 5 or 10 dollar item. Youre talking $100,000 or $200, 000 dollar items. I left him a message on his voicemail and sent him an email. He never even bothered to call me or email me back. Terrible customer service!!
