Therapeutic riding, above all, works to provide individuals with disabilities with a better quality of life. The true therapist is the horse, as its gentle motion stimulates muscles and increases circulation, balance, strength, and control. In addition, the rider's emotional skills are improved, such as concentration, patience, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships.

Therapeutic riding truly creates a special bond between horse, rider, instructor and volunteers. The Reins of Hope Board of Directors is responsible for establishing the policies and procedures to ensure the success of our program. They are a working board, logging countless volunteer hours to make our events and programs successful.

Volunteers are essential in maintaining a quality program! A volunteer's primary responsibility is to help out the instructors with their classes and interact with the students and horses. Volunteers are also needed to help with the annual auction and other events. Volunteers are crucial to the program, so we like to show them our appreciation by serving them lunch throughout the week.
