You never know who you'll witness working in a bookstore: bakers, lawyers, wannabe diplomats. It's not just sitting around reading books in a social setting, offering up a favorite poet here and there. It's a lot of work to make even the smallest of engines run well and we love every minute of it. Daiva is a Baltimore-born transplant since 1992 when she came to Telluride with the CTEC crew to build the Gondola and decided to stay put for a while.

Telluride High in the San Juans is a BTC original title. In addition to the new projects that we plan to roll out, we have a sizable wishlist of beloved books we'd like to bring back into print. The goal is to take advantage of the collaborative opportunities that the literary and visual talents within Telluride and the surrounding valleys hold to keep the written word and the indie spirit alive and swell.
