At Vermont Arborists, we pride ourselves on being in the forefront of tree care and tree removal. When Michael Roche joined Vermont Arborists in 1988, it was already established as Stowe Tree Service. The name was changed in 2010 to Vermont Arborists, to reflect an expanding customer base into other areas of the state.
Over the past three decades, Michael and the company have continued to increase their knowledge and hone their skills, gaining accreditations and certifications that place them at the forefront of the arborist profession. Michael graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Forestry in 1982, and began working in the field shortly after.

Sometimes you find yourself unsure of what is going on with your trees and how it relates to your property. Other times a tree is struggling, and you just need to know why. We can come to your property for a nominal fee (applicable towards future work), diagnose your problem, and create a plan to make your trees healthy again.

Vermont Arborists have recently milled many large beams and slabs from trees we cut over the last few years. The species of trees are maple, birch, ash and black walnut. We currently have cherry, as well! We have 12" x 18" x 14' maple beams, 3" wide slabs from 5' to 16', and many other choices. We strive to create pieces you cannot find anywhere else.

I have used Vermont Arborists for years. Michael is very knowledgable and has helped educate me about how to take good care of our trees. I would highly recommend him and his team! Michael was very responsive and answered all of my questions, he helped us achieve our goal of keeping our house safe and improving our view.
