Before founding my solo practice, my career path involved a couple of years at a large firm, after which I spent the majority of my career working at a few smaller firms. My smaller firm experience allowed me to have more responsibility, more client interaction and more exposure to a variety of legal issues than I believe I would have had if I remained at a big firm.

Although creditor/debtor issues have no doubt existed since the beginning of time, in my experience they have been particularly prevalent since the downturn in the economy that occurred in 2008. My range of experience in this subject matter has involved representing clients on both the creditor and debtor side of the table.

Having been a litigator for years, I understand that some disputes truly can only be resolved through use of the courts - but not all disputes. Mediation is an immensely powerful and effective method of alternative dispute resolution that can - more often than you think - result in "win-win" solutions.
