We are a federally subsidized apartment community, with rents and eligibility determined by government regulations. We offer affordable one bedroom apartments for people who are 62 years of age and older or disabled.
We are conveniently loated near shopping, dining and entertainment and transportation around town is a breeze with daily bus service. Our community offers a clubhouse, a service coordinator, locked access entry, a picnic area and much more. Nice apartments back in the 80s. Once Charlotte Court was knocked down in downtown Lexington all the of the ghetto moved over to Centre parkway. Thankfully they seem to stay out of the senior living area of these apartments , but it is somewhat in the area where I wouldn't feel safe walking down the street at night.

Briarwood is a great place to call home. The staff, Stacy, Matt, Melissa, Emily, Vicki and Marcus are always professional and accommodating. They take excellent care of the property, from clearing sidewalks and parking lots in bad weather to planting blooming flowers in the spring and summer. Any maintenance issues are dealt with in a very timely manner, even after the regular working hours. The buildings and grounds are kept neat and clean. They have multiple events each year for the residents as well as arranging for weekly buses to various stores in the area. Each and every staff member has

My name is Zetta Montgomery I’ve lived here at Briarwood for over 5 years and I love it. We have the best staff ever! They will help anyone here with whatever they need. The office and maintenance people are wonderful and our service coordinator is awesome she helps everyone here get anything they need!!!

We have the most amazing staff here at Briarwood of Lexington. They all work together as a cohesive unit, are extremely hardworking and diligent, and do what needs to be done in order to complete the task at hand. The staff is Johnny on the spot, and will go out of their way to help you!! Especially the service coordinator, I tip my hat to her who helps all residents with anything from their benefits and health connections, Miss Vicki rocks! The property staff and maintenance team and housekeeping are super! Stacy, Emily, Matt, Melissa and Marcus rock too!

I moved into Briarwood in April, so I've been here four months. I must say that I am extremely happy and feel very lucky to live here.
The staff members are super friendly and always eager to listen and respond to requests for maintenance or explanations I might need. And it's not just that they respond--they reach out. For instance, if the water must be shut off for any reason, they bring bottled water. When the electricity went off, through no fault of their own, they offered to take us to the movies and were going to buy us supper if it hadn't come back on. They advise us of everything before
