Springfield Technical Community College is devoted to helping students achieve their academic goals. As the only technical community college in Massachusetts, we have a remarkably extensive selection of degree programs, degree options and certificate programs (over 75, as a matter of fact) in business, engineering, health, liberal arts, science and technology - many of which are not available anywhere else in the region.
Flex Terms
Report
You can complete TWO courses in the time it takes to finish one traditional course! At seven weeks, the terms are half as long as the traditional 14-week semester. This means students can complete two courses in the time it takes to finish one traditional course. Students enrolled in the shortened terms also have the option of completing a two-course sequence within a single term.

The purpose of the Honors Program at Springfield Technical Community College is to take a leading role in achieving the mission and goals of the whole college. The program strives to meet the needs of academically motivated students by providing resources and options that allow each individual to reach her/his potential in the curriculum of her/his choice.
Online Learning

STCC is pleased to offer online classes to students who choose to take advantage of this learning option. Whether you live at a distance from the college, or right here in Springfield, online classes provide flexibility and convenience. Many STCC degree and certificate programs feature a significant number of courses that can be completed partially or entirely online.
Springfield Adult Learning Center SALC

The Springfield Adult Learning Center (SALC) provides free classes for adults to further their education by earning a High School Equivalency Certificate (HSE) which includes preparing for a GED or a HiSET exam; developing computer, email, or internet skills; learning English as a second language; or enrolling as a student at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) college after completing an HSE.
