Generously supported by The Jewish Community Foundation of El Paso and The Jewish Federation of Greater El Paso. The J Center for Early Learning is passionate about providing an innovative learning environment for El Paso's youth. The school embraces families from all backgrounds, while teaching core Jewish values of community, tolerance, and respect.
Teachers work collaboratively to create environments and experiences that spark wonder and creativity, build confidence and skills, allow children to explore materials, and encourage questioning minds. We partner extensively with families and community members to enrich our school environment. We are caretakers of each other, our school community, our city, and our planet.

Faculty and Staff
Report
We select teachers who demonstrate kindness and collaboration and embrace the Reggio philosophy of early childhood education where every child is respected as capable and competent. Before being hired all employees must pass a criminal history check, an FBI fingerprint check and have a negative TB test.
Top Notch Academics
Report
The Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education began in Italy, shortly after WWII. Parents wanted schools where children could acquire the skills of critical thinking and collaboration in beautiful, stimulating environments.
U.S. interest in Reggio Inspired Learning began in the late 1980's, and then internationally in 1991, when a panel of experts commissioned by Newsweek Magazine hailed the Reggio Approach as an exemplary model of Early Childhood Education and identified the preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy, in an in-depth look at the "best top ten schools in the world" (Newsweek 1991 - PDF).

Jewish Values
Report
It is every parent's dream to raise a "mentch, " or good citizen. We try our best to impart Jewish values in our children to help them to become responsible adults. Examples include charity, recycling, learning to take care of our bodies and our belongings and caring for others. We carefully select teachers who model and nurture Jewish values such as kindness, friendship, empathy, and respect for the environment and the rights of others.
After School Enrichment
Report
Through our after school enrichment classes students at The J will be exposed to foreign languages, art, music, computers, physical activity and so much more. Our enrichment opportunities are an important part of our program. They enhance and support our curriculum. These activities address the childrens' inner need to learn, achieve, and become adept at a skill.
