Our company started business in 1805 in Shizuoka Prefecture, which is located in the central part of Japan, as a manufacturing and sales company of "dried skipjacks" made from skipjack that were caught in the seas close to Japan.
We constructed a canning factory in a place in which a freezing facility for skipjacks was scheduled to be constructed, after considering that it was close to the Port of Yaizu, which has the best catches of fish in Japan, and made our start as a manufacturing company of canned marine and agricultural products.After World War II, we made a new start as a stock corporation in 1948.
