Established in 1972, Forest Hill Nursery School offers a unique educational preschool program for 2, 3 and 4-year-olds in Harford County, Maryland. We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and seek to bring together parents, children, and teachers as they embark together on the early learning process.

Our Philosophy

We continue to fill the need for this type of program for our preschool age children. As a cooperative nursery school, FHNS is a non-profit organization, opened and administrated by the parents of the preschool children currently enrolled in the program. The parents and teachers work together to guide the children and learning takes place on the part of all involved.

Forest Hill Nursery School (FHNS) offers a unique educational program for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. The classroom routine is centered on the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of each child. As a co-op, FHNS parents work directly in the classroom, and therefore, have the opportunity to aid in the learning process.
Teachers

4-Year-Old Program Teacher, 2-Year-Old Discovery Program Teacher and PALS & STEAM program teacher. Tina Folmer has a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Educational Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Tina has devoted the last decade to being a parent at Forest Hill Nursery School and serving on the Board of Directors throughout her tenure at the school.

We are looking for families or friends to sign-up to hand-out candy at the Fall Fest trick-or-treat stations! Please review the details described in the sign-up for each option before making your decision. Anyone is welcome to come set up to hand out candy and all families are welcome to come to our event!
