Toddler Dance Classes
Our toddler dance program introduces children aged 18 months to 5 years to foundational dance concepts through playful, parent-participation classes. Using props like hula hoops and parachutes, we develop motor skills and musicality while making learning fun. Classes focus on building comfort in dance environments while teaching basic rhythms and movements that prepare children for independent dance instruction.
Competition Teams
Award-winning competition teams offer advanced training in tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop for dancers with minimum three years experience. Under the direction of industry professionals, students participate in local and national competitions while developing technical precision and performance artistry. Our alumni have performed on Broadway, national tours, and professional sports teams.
Ballet Instruction
Ballet classes range from pre-ballet for ages 6-7 to advanced levels for teens and adults, focusing on classical technique and graceful movement. Twice-weekly sessions for levels 1-4 develop proper form and discipline, while advanced students explore complex choreography. Classes emphasize foundational skills that benefit all dance styles and include annual performance opportunities.
Hip Hop Classes
Hip hop instruction for ages 4-16 builds rhythm, coordination, and self-expression through contemporary street dance styles. Classes teach foundational moves and choreography while encouraging individual creativity. Students learn age-appropriate routines that develop strength and musicality, with performance opportunities at recitals and community events.
Pre-Competitive Program
The pre-competitive program introduces dancers to team dynamics through 3-4 annual competitions and specialized technique training. This program builds foundational skills for competitive dance while emphasizing teamwork and stage presence. Students receive focused instruction in preparation for potential transition to our award-winning competition teams.

Founder of Lana's Dance Studio since 1979 with 46 years of experience, former Radio City Rockette, and renowned choreographer who has trained dancers for Broadway and professional sports teams.
Leila Wright Bobzien
Co-Director of Competitive Teams
Award-winning dancer with titles from Miss Headliner to Miss California USA, former Radio City Rockette, and internationally recognized choreographer who co-directs our tap/jazz/lyrical competition teams.
Angie Dixon
Director of Recreational Dance
Specializes in toddler programs with 15 years teaching experience, graduated from Sacramento State University, and brings expertise in early childhood dance education to our youngest students.
Cassidy Paskett Webb
Resident Choreographer
Chapman University graduate with dual degrees in dance performance and kinesiology, former Dance Spirit 'Future Star' award winner, and certified Pilates instructor who teaches injury prevention techniques.

I love Lanas studio!!! I took dance there for almost 5 years, and I cant believe how much I learned from the staff, and from Lana!! Despite moving away from the studio and being unable to work on my dance there, I still look back to all the memories I made at the studio with my friends. Btw, if youre reading this and considering joining a class with Lana or another teacher, I highly recommend Ms. Angie. Shes the sweetest person Ive ever met, and I know she can help you become an amazing dancer!!
