I'm Paul Sikkema, owner/operator of Upper Miss. Wildlife Artistry(UMWA). I am a graduate of Iowa State University and I received my Taxidermy training from Kindred Spirits School of Taxidermy in West Burlington, Iowa. My passion for the outdoors and wildlife has led me to pursue the adventure of taxidermy.
Antler Mounts
Report
Antlers can be mounted on a variety of hardwood bases and are wrapped in deer skin. Have a special set of sheds, we can make a custom head and shoulder mount of your sheds. We also repair antlers with broken tines or sheds with rodent damage If you'd like something specific, feel free to ask for a quote!
Custom Work
Report
We can create custom pieces from wood, environmental details, or the specimen itself. As each work is unique and meets the desires of the customer, please contact us for a quote on a custom piece. Custom items include furniture, cases, or items that are customized but not necessarily part of the setting of a mount.
Rugs
Report
We do a variety of rugs - open mouth, closed-mouth, with optional backings. We offer a poly filled padding with a machined ruffle that is hand sewn with the backing. We can also mount your rug on a hardboard sheet for hanging on the wall, stretched on a hoop, or soft mounted for a wall hanging. Call today and see what we can create for you.
Restoration & Repair

Upper Miss Wildlife Artistry is a full-service taxidermy studio. We can restore most old mounts within reason, repair old mounts, and re-do old mounts. We are not in the business to criticize others' work, but we are willing to work on other taxidermist's work to satisfy you, the customer. No offense will be taken if you bring in another taxidermist's work for repair or maintenance.
