Services
Inserts
Report
Helical coiled thread inserts are available by many brand names. Regardless of name, they all serve the same function of protecting tapped threads from stripping or seizing and providing superior thread strength over the tapped material alone. Their unique design of coiled wire with a diamond shaped cross-section is highly adaptable inmost materials.
Locking Devices
Report
Each of the types of non-metallic locking elements has sufficient locking qualities to lock and stay locked whether properly seated or not. Keep these advantages in mind when considering which type of locking device to use in your design. Tests have proven that fasteners with locking elements may be removed and reused 5 to 15 times without evidence of substantial alteration.
Rivets
Report
The domed head style is the most commonly used type of blind rivet, possibly due to very easy application and its versatility. The head diameter is twice the diameter of the rivet body itself, which creates sufficient holding power for standard materials. This head style is generally used to fasten brittle or very soft materials together.
SEMS Screws
Report
Sems screws are convenient screw and washer assemblies. The washer is slipped onto the screw body during manufacturing, just before rolling the threads. When the threads are rolled, they captivate the washers and keep them from becoming disassembled. Although the initial cost per fastener may be a bit more, in high volume production you will quickly see assembly time cost savings.
