Cervantes Coffee
We take time and effort to select the best available green coffee in the market working directly with suppliers, coffee cooperatives, and individual growers, so we know exactly where our coffee comes from. We visit the coffee regions every year, to compare and see firsthand the farmers and establish long term relationships with them.

Our goal is that you know exactly where your coffee is from all the way to the farm or region of the world. We've been working with Cervantes Coffee since we opened. They provide consistent service and great Peruvian coffee that we are proud to serve at China Chilcano. I've been coming to Cervantes since soon after they opened and have so enjoyed having them in our neighborhood.

Our Story
Report
Marialy is from Bolivia, and started working with small farmers early in her life. Farmer education, adult literacy and small business run deep in her blood. Opening up a coffee roastery was the natural next step. She learned early on that the best way to help farmers and work across countries is to establish long lasting business relations.
Our Team
Report
Ben is a roaster here at Cervantes. Roasting coffee has been a passion of his for several years, starting at home and then 2 years professionally. Roasting is just one craft element that he loves: brewing beer, making kombucha and roasting coffee are among the many passions in his life.

When he's not doing one of these things, he can be found playing guitar/singing, spending time with his neighbors/community, or utilizing his skills as a photographer in both urban and nature settings!Mia is a lead barista a Cervantes Coffee, bringing her passion and skills in coffee from her past work in Washington DC.
About Us
Report
Marialy has fond memories of her grandfather's farm in Eastern Bolivia, where along the farm animals she used to play with, she would pick coffee with her brothers and cousins. Right after college, she went on to work with women farmers in her home town, helping them with farm extension and training programs.
What is Single Origin Coffee
Report
Single Origin Coffee stands for coffee that is authentic to a particular region or farm. For example, its not enough to know that your coffee is from Colombia. The country has literally hundreds of coffee growing regions across its mountains and valleys and each region has its unique coffee profile.
