It is a sad day for the hockey community in Marquette as Tim "Mac" McIntosh passed away peacefully this morning. Mac was the long-time Marquette Junior Hockey director for 47 years before retiring in 2019. He helped countless hockey players that passed through the program. He was also involved with Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) and USA Hockey.

This past summer was honored with 35 years of service with MAHA. His fingerprint on hockey in Marquette didn't stop with the directorship, he also announced games. He was the voice of NMU Hockey from the first game in 1976, his iconic "Wildcat Goal" when calling of NMU goals brought chills to hockey fans.
