We created this Health and Safety Guideline which is consistent with the "Safe Start" phased guidance issued by the Office of the Governor for higher education and critical infrastructure workforce training programs. The health and safety of our staff and students is our top priority, please read the following to understand the measures that we put in place to create a safe environment for everyone.

State law requires that students must be 15 years old at the time of the first classroom session of the course. A parent information session will be held usually during the second week of class or will be scheduled outside of classroom session. Minimum course length is 5 weeks and all course requirements must be completed within 3 months.

4) After you've passed the KT, go to your local DOL office and obtain a WA Instruction Permit ($25 permit fee) If you have a current/valid out-of-country driver license and you have been in US for less than a year, you may skip this step. U.S. Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization with your photo, signature, and readily identifiable photo.

All driving test applicants must have a valid permit. Temporary permits could also be issued by IDA driving school. All applicants must have a mechanically reliable vehicle with valid insurance, current registration and license plate tabs.

All vehicles must have working turn signals, brake lights, headlights, emergency flashers, seat belts, brakes, windshield wipers, appropriate (legal minimum) thread on tires, side mirrors and a rear-view mirror.There may be no cracks or chips in the line of vision in the windshield. Exam scores will be entered into the DOL database within 24 hours.
New to WA

If you carry a license from another state, you must apply for a driver license within 30 days of becoming a Washington resident. You are considered a resident when you establish a permanent home in this state, register to vote, receive state benefits, apply for any state license, or seek in-state tuition rates.

Meet identification requirements including providing proof of parental relationship (for example, a certified birth certificate). Have a parent or guardian sign parental authorization and certify that you've had at least 50 hours of supervised driving including 10 hours at night with someone who has been licensed for five years or more.
