Duck Creek Pottery was established in 1989. All of the pottery is either thrown on the wheel, hand built, or a combination of the two, and is made by Sylvia Coppola. Since all work is hand made, no two pieces are exactly alike. The pots are made from a stoneware clay and after texturing and adding handles, feet, etc they are dried completely.
After bisque firing, the pots are then glazed and gas fired to approximately 2340°F. Each firing lasts between 16-20 hours. With each kiln opening, it is always exciting to see what's inside!
