Welcome, and thank you for your interest in learning more about me and my practice. I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Licensed Addictions Treatment Counselor, with a cozy, private office centrally located in Kearny Mesa near both the 805 and 163 off Balboa Avenue. Our offices provide off-street parking for your convenience.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process toward healing and personal growth, where with trust and unconditional acceptance, people are reminded of and gently guided back to reconnecting with their own inner knowing.

I reached out to Lori Sherer with a very important request. Rather than sharing the same respect that I had extended to her, she responded by sending a text message that did not address the reasons I reached out to her. I believe that a professional should not respond by text, but rather in person or by phone. I withhold my recommendeation.

I am writing to recommend Lori Sherer, who counseled me during a particularly difficult time in my life. I found her by asking friends for a referral; the group she worked with came highly recommended. I ended up seeing her for a little over 1 year.
She started by asking questions to evaluate my needs, and as time went on, she started to make recommendations, not in terms of actual advice, but by asking questions and just discussing some of the issues, it helped me think things through. I wouldn’t say my problems were life-threatening, but I did feel an incredible amount of stress and anxiety
