Steve is a genius! Weve never encountered someone with such breadth of talent from design, metal creation and finally, finishing. A great person to work with too! Were now at three lamps (two table, one floor (custom)) and a towel rack. All are such unique and beautiful items. Fall 2021 Update- weve since added two table lamps and two hall sconces. Needless to say we continue to be extremely satisfied customers.

We met Steve about four years ago when we went to his studio to look at his lamp collection. We bought our first lamp and began discussing some custom work ideas for our new home. He was able to take the ideas we described and provide drawings, in great detail, of several options which we choose exactly what we wanted. This is one of his greatest services, as you may ideas of what you may want, but they are not completely formed. Seeing them visually enabled us to define and refine exactly what we wanted. My husband and I built a custom Craftsman home in the mountains of North Carolina. One of the most distinctive elements of our home is a 12 tall by 17 wide rock wall in our living room with a large center fireplace. The fireplace opening is arched and impossible to fit with standard doors and screens. We visited several local blacksmiths and no one was able to understand our needs or design and build the doors we envisioned. We met Steve Joslyn at a local craft fair, looked through his design book and realized we had found our master blacksmith! Steve worked with us providing suggestions
