Smith and Christopher I. Lampman began a working relationship in San Luis Obispo, California. In the fall of 1987 the partnership of Lampman & Smith was created, and Lampman & Smith, A Structural Engineering Corporation was formed in October of 1990.
In the spring of 2011 Mr. Smith partnered with Lee Engelmeier and Michael Parolini to form the current SSG Structural Engineers, LLP. The firm specializes in providing professional, complete, and responsible Structural Engineering Services.
