Janell Gruss has been actively pursuing her equine career since 1982. She began in 4-H, then progressed to AQHA shows, where she was ranked nationally, competing in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, English Equitation and Hunter Under Saddle.
Since graduating from Michigan State University's Horse Management Program in 1994, Janell has held management and/or training positions on Breeding Farms, Quarter Horse Show barns and Thoroughbred Racetracks.For 6 years, she worked for Hall of Fame trainer, Bob Baffert, as an exercise rider and assistant trainer.
