Locally owned and operated, Bull River Marina is ideally nestled on the eastern side of Wilmington Island. We are located just minutes from the Historic District and Tybee Island. Our mission is to offer the best boating experiences to our local boaters and visitors to the Low Country. We offer marine-grade fuel in both gas and diesel. Pump-out service is also provided to keep our area waterways clean. All of our slips have 30-50 amp power as well as water at all locations. The trips we've been on have yielded an abundance of artifacts, including all manner of prehistoric sharks, Mammoth bones, Camel bones, Horse, even ear bones of Whales dating back to the Pliocene.

Sharktooth Island Fossil Hunting

Sharktooth Island is only available to visit at low tide, so this trip leaves at different times each day depending on the tide. The island is located in the Savannah River a short boat trip through the beautiful Marshlands of Coastal Georgia. This 3 1/2 hour excursion is led by local captain guides who will educate you on how to best search for fossils and comb the shore for shells and other treasures.
