Mitchell's Nursery & Greenhouse is a local, family-owned business with a knowledgeable staff on-site to answer all of your plant questions. Located in King, NC, just north of Winston-Salem, they sell to landscapers, contractors, florists, garden centers, and the public. Mitchell's Nursery & Greenhouse was started by Judy and Jim Mitchell in 1979 on an extra lot beside their house.

Judy is one of the founding owners of Mitchell's Nursery. Judy takes care of ordering and filling orders, shuffling numbers and keeping everything in line. When she isn't at the nursery taking care of business she is. Jay is the second generation of Mitchell's at the nursery. Jay came back home to help with the family operations after graduating from Forsyth Tech.

We carry a variety of plants to suit your interior plantscaping design. Bring foliage succulents with beautiful greenery or long bloomers with bright flowers into your home! Many of our pots fit comfortably on a window sill or desk and can be potted into larger containers for dish gardens or hanging baskets.

We grow one of the largest selections of trees and shrubs in the North Carolina Triad area. Our plants are well-suited for this region. We will also consult you on the planting and caring of your trees and shrubs. Fall, winter, and early spring is the best time to plant trees and shrubs. The roots get a chance to grow out before it gets too hot and dry in the summer, which is less stressful on the plant.
