Essence of Communication, Inc. is a private Speech-Language Pathology (therapy) and Occupational Therapy practice that is honored to provide services to persons of all ages who have communication or other challenges. Evaluation and Treatment

We offer the following speech-language pathology (therapy) services for children ages 1 year through adults. The comprehensiveness of an evaluation can range from simple to in-depth, formal with standardized tests to informal to play based, depending on the concerns voiced when you contact us. Therapy is 1:1 and individualized to meet the client's and their family's needs.
Free Services

Come meet us. Find out about us, our services, and if we are a match for you. This is available for all interested persons, but especially for clients who have been referred by another provider such as: Kaiser, Child Find, ABA therapist. For children aged 1 year through teens. Note: a screening is brief (15 - 30 minutes) and used to determine if: further and/or formal testing is indicated or skills on the surface appear to be appropriate.
Private Practice

At Essence of Communication we strongly believe in having meaningful relationships and interactions with our clients and their families. Our private practice setting provides that foundation. Collaboration with client and family members to establish and work on goals that are important to the client and/or family.
Occupational Therapy
Report
Sensory processing/integration: taste, touch, vision, hearing, and smell, as well as body in space, and body awareness. Evaluations are done using a combination of standardized assessments, observations during play and movement activities, functional task completion, and parent/child interviews. A comprehensive occupational profile and treatment plan will be created to drive the therapy process.
