Windwalker Farms is different from your typical horseback riding facility. We focus on teaching our students how horses perceive the world with their prey animal mentality through education and adventure! It is our job as horsemen to meet horses where they are at and communicate with them in a way that makes sense to them; instead of forcing horses to learn the way humans do, it's our job to understand how they learn and view the world.
It is our mission at Windwalker Farms to bridge the gap between horses and people. We strive to teach our students the language of the horse and how to effectively communicate with them. With effective communication comes a very willing horse, and the horse-and-rider relationship that everyone dreams about when they begin riding.

Windwalker Academy
Report
We're striving to create a team of trainers & instructors that have higher expectations of horses by developing better understanding of the horses mind and how they communicate. Natural horsemanship is about body language; how to read it, understand it, and convey it. Phase #3: Joining our team as a paid intern on payroll as you continue in your horsemanship journey.
Homeschool Program
Report
We will be diving into the anatomy of the horse. Your child will be learning all about the horses digestive track, teeth, hoofs, organs, and skeletal system. Our indoor is heated in the winter but please bring warm layers (snow pants, gloves, and coat). Kids will need to bring muck/rain boots or hiking shoes that can get muddy for semester #2.
Fundamentals Course
Report
Come learn natural horsemanship right from the start. We'll be taking a young horse that has never been started, to hitting the trails in just 10 sessions. This is a very hands on program. The first half will be spent observing us train the young horse using natural horsemanship. Watch as we establish leadership through movement, build the horses mind and confidence with our desensitizing and obstacle program.
