Penny O'Hern - Business Manager Penny began working as a receptionist with Dr. Bagnell in 1998. She became the business manager in 2006 and has held that position ever since. She is a Montana native and long - time Mission Valley resident. She is married with two grown children and four grandchildren.

Crowns are full coverage restorations that are used to cover a tooth that is likely to break, or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. They are most commonly done after root canal treatment, or when a large filling wears out. The larger the hole made by a cavity that has to be treated, the more likely a crown will be needed.

Q: Which type of toothbrush should I use? A: The brand of the toothbrush is not as critical as the type of bristle and the size of the head. A soft toothbrush with a small head is recommended because medium and hard brushes tend to cause irritation and contribute to recession of the gums, and a small head allows you to get around each tooth more completely and is less likely to injure your gums.
