Pilates is an effective exercise system that was created in the early twentieth century by Joseph Pilates and was originally called "Contrology". Joseph was a brilliant, innovative man and the history of his life and creation of his amazing fitness modality is quite something! We'd be happy to tell you more about it.

Classes

This class is a balance of low impact/high intensity cardiovascular functional movement. Functional movement means movement that is required in our daily tasks, like backing out of our driveways, sitting down and getting up. We need to be able to keep our ability to perform these movements as we age and knowing how to do them correctly keeps us fit and capable.
