Premier Maryland Ballet Company Since 1991
Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre has been dedicated to classical dance excellence for 30 years, serving audiences across Maryland's Eastern Shore. Founded in 1991 by Betty Webster and local cultural advocates, we combine student performers, pre-professionals, and guest artists to deliver high-quality ballet productions. Our organization has staged over 20 full-length ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty, with elaborate sets and costumes that create memorable cultural experiences. We prioritize community engagement through school outreach programs, introducing classical dance to thousands of public school students who might not otherwise access live performances. Our productions receive critical support from Maryland State Arts Council, Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council, and local donors, ensuring accessibility to diverse audiences. With headquarters at Salisbury Dance Academy in Fruitland, we maintain statewide recognition for both artistic merit and educational impact. Our repertoire spans traditional masterpieces and contemporary works, reflecting our commitment to evolving ballet's relevance. Through annual fundraising campaigns and corporate sponsorships, we sustain operations while offering tiered donor benefits that enhance community participation. Our leadership team combines decades of dance expertise with local market knowledge to maintain programming excellence. As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, we adhere to strict financial transparency standards while maximizing artistic value for every dollar invested.
