Jazz guitarists Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo perform some of their favorite tunes in a duo formed by the jazz Gods. Jazz vocalist and bassist Nicki Parrott is joined by renowned Yamaha pianist Larry Fuller. Hey, jazz lovers, music is coming your way! Maybe you're in the mood for toe-tapping, finger-snapping, head-bopping, and savoring some of your favorite musicians from the comfort of your home.

Vail Jazz has you covered! Live performances have ended for the summer, but we continue our virtual performances - Jazz Interludes! Committed to educating future generations of musicians and audiences, the Vail Jazz Workshop, Vail Jazz Goes to School, and Jammin' Jazz Kids provide age-appropriate instruction for tykes to teens.

Howard Stone is a life-long jazz fan, a retired real estate attorney and investor based in Santa Monica California, who has had a second home in Vail, Colorado for over 40 years.Stone loves jazz as much as he loves the Colorado lifestyle - and the Vail Jazz Foundation blossomed when he brought together these two passions.

Renowned musician, composer, conductor and arranger Wycliffe Gordon shares his favorite tunes on the trombone. Over the past 27 years, Vail Jazz has formed tight friendships with some of the hottest names on the scene.

We swung, sung, sashayed, and shimmied. We danced the samba and the salsa, strolled Bourbon Street, basked in the romance of Rio de Janeiro, visited the Carolina out islands, hung out at the intimate jazz clubs of New York, felt the spirit move us and shouted "Alleluia!" The Vail Jazz Festival takes place in two iconic Vail locations.

The grand finale of both the Vail Jazz Festival and the beautiful Colorado summer season, the Vail Jazz Party features a jam-packed lineup with several headliners that join together to play in group performances, multi-artist jam sessions, and inspiring tributes to jazz legends. Vail Jazz Party features a House Band with John Clayton, Dick Oatts, Terell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon, Bill Cunliffe, and Lewis Nash.

Whether learning the fundamental of jazz or rising to the challenge of a demanding jazz immersion program, students learn to perform - and appreciate - the importance of this uniquely American musical genre.Each year, a dozen of the country's most dedicated, gifted, and promising high school jazz musicians are chosen from a broad field of talented applicants, receiving scholarships to participate in the 10-day Vail Jazz Workshop.
